You might be looking for a Town Cats \u201cWorking Cat\u201d!<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re in need of a skilled, dependable (and undeniably adorable) pest manager, our Working Cats are up for the job. These cats prefer life outside the traditional home and thrive in environments where they can put their natural hunting instincts to work. They offer an eco-friendly, humane alternative to conventional pest control\u2014and they take their role seriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All they ask in return is a safe place to call home, along with food, water, shelter from the elements, and long-term care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before getting to work, each cat will go through a brief acclimation period\u2014kept safely confined in a kennel for a minimum of 30 days\u2014to help them bond with their new environment. They often are just fine with being alone if necessary. Please consider adopting an older kitty! Also ask us about our Silver Whiskers Program (senior cats for senior people), <strong>if you are over 60 and the cat is over 9 years old then the adoption is FREE! <\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As you probably know, Town Cats adopts out over 200 cats every year, mostly through our Adoption Centers at pet supply stores. What you may not know is that in the past, we also have cared for a number of cats who have been with us for multiple years. These long term resident cats lived at our previous shelter building in Morgan Hill, some for up to 15 years. These wonderful cats had never experienced the feeling of having a home and their own family to love. Her mission was to alleviate the suffering of stray, abandoned, unwanted, and feral cats while advocating for all cats in Santa Clara County. Rosi\u2019s extraordinary dedication to both the community and the cats she served continues to be remembered through her enduring compassion and commitment to saving lives.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Rosi\u2019s long-term Legacy Cats were cats who had spent years\u2014some more than a decade\u2014waiting patiently for their forever homes. The Legacy Cat Program was created to honor their resilience and to connect them with compassionate adopters willing to carry on Rosi\u2019s vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the program, these cats were included in Town Cats\u2019 \u201cIn It for Life\u201d initiative, which covered basic medical care for the duration of each cat\u2019s life, and all adoption fees were waived to help remove barriers to adoption.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In celebration of Rosi\u2019s Legacy Cats, Town Cats also partnered with artists to create one-of-a-kind portraits that captured each cat\u2019s unique personality and beauty.
