Volunteer with Town Cats! <\/span><\/h1>\n

Town Cats needs many hands (and paws!) to do all the important lifesaving work we do. We are always seeking committed, enthusiastic and reliable volunteers. The work Town Cats does is only limited by our volunteer resources. Whatever your interests are, they will go a long way at Town Cats!<\/span>

Process to start Volunteering<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Register an account on GivePulse.com<\/a> and join the Town Cats group<\/li>\n
  2. Watch the online orientation video and take the quiz<\/li>\n
  3. Schedule an in-person training session through GivePulse by sending a note to the group Admin.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Minimum Age Requirements<\/span><\/h3>\n

    We welcome High School students needing community service hours to apply! You can also fulfill your high school community service hours with Town Cats by setting up a fundraiser or donation drive on our behalf. Alternatively, you can create projects to make cat scratchers, toys or blankets.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Younger volunteers can also take on independent (at home) projects if they don\u2019t have anyone who can accompany them to our shelter. For example, making no-sew blankets, distributing flyers, or organizing food drives. To sign up for a project, first register on the Volunteer Registration site<\/a>, then let us know what you\u2019d like to do by emailing volunteers@towncats.org<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Supervision Guidelines<\/h4>\n
      \n
    • Minors under 18<\/strong> must be directly supervised by an actively volunteering parent or legal guardian during their volunteer\u00a0shift<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • We welcome younger volunteers with previous animal handling experience, provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Every volunteer, regardless of age, must register individually on the Volunteer Registration site. Click the ‘Join’ button to start the registration process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Parent\/Guardian Consent<\/h4>\n

      For all minors under 18<\/strong>, a signed parental\/guardian consent form is required before volunteering.       \nAssist at one-day events like fairs, festivals, and pop-up adoptions.       \nTake quality photos of cats for our website, social media, and flyers.
